Hi. I was injured in a car accident 12 years ago and have managed to raise 3 beautiful teenage girls, go back to a vocational school for a year and a half and have been working full-time since finishing vocational school approximately 10 years ago. I was so proud of getting myself off of social security disability as I was told only 5% of injuries like mine will ever be off of it. I was so proud of my vocational school accomplishments, I was awarded the Adult Student of the Year Award too. Unfortunately, I am now developing (according to doctors from my paraplegia) buttock sores, constant swelling of my lower legs and even a fractured femur last year (I cannot afford to work less than a 40 hour week and therefore I have trouble with working, taking care of my home and girls, and being able to elevate my legs as needed) and most troublesome have started with carpal tunnel syndrome and as I earn my living being on the computer 8 hours a day this is a painful complication. I have come to the point that I really need to be back on social security disability and then hopefully after some healing would be able to at the very least work part-time again. But, I cannot afford to go out of work and start that whole process. I am also a very proud person so I am very uncomfortable right now asking for help from people who do not even know me.... I am for real and my situation is the truth and can be verified for those who may be in a position to help me. Thank you for reading!
